counting gifts

1. sunshine coming through the window
2. a little girl with endless dirty diapers…but that means she’s healthy
3. a beautiful snowfall on a morning of this endless winter
4. cuddles from a stinky puppy
5. cozy sweatpants
6. new baby sweaters – even when covered in spit up
7. hot tea
8. a quiet time during a morning nap when i should be doing a million other things…
9. a baby practicing her smiles
10. remembering silly church songs to make baby girl smile
11. texts on my phone that remind me i’m not alone
12. flowers on the window sill clinging to life despite my attempts to kill it
13. clean clothes in piles to be folded and put away means we have been so blessed with clothing and a laundry machine
14. a little belly that is taking its time to go away, just another blessing of being able to grow life inside of me
15. little sleeping sighs that are just the cutest
16. dishes piled in the sink from having plenty to eat

some days i find i just need to start counting the gifts that God has blessed me with. have you ever done this?

    Ahh… Lovely thanksgivings. I am so missing those sleeping sighs. Love the last photo. Just adorable.

    I love all your pictures, but especially the last one. Not to always tell you my “tales” but I had to keep a I’m thankful for…. book when my kiddos were little. Sometimes it’s all just so overwhelming. We didn’t have internet/facebook/e-mails then and our family was all a long distance call (even though they were only about 10-15 miles away) and Lee didn’t want me to make long distance calls, I felt so cut off and alone!! And knee deep in diapers, dishes, throw up and screaming kids. Please know that you can call and chat anytime that you need to (even though I’m much older than you). I’m glad you are finding the blessings.
