weekend adventures {in pictures}

this weekend was C.R.A.Z.Y. -really just because i took over 600 photos. i’m not even exaggerating.

we had an adventure to a rose garden with some dear friends. it was great to get to spend a couple of hours outside with the people we’re going to miss soon.  the roses weren’t out yet… but we took a bunch of pictures…

we decided that since none of us can afford professional photographs taken, we’d take them of each other!

{note, Husbuddy and i don’t really need photos of us… but a few of our dear friends have had a baby in the past year… so we were here to help! :)}

none of us claim to be that good at photography(although we’re all trying to learn!)…

our philosophy is to just take a million of photos and a couple will turn out alright…

then the girls had fun together. i love these two so very much. just thinking of leaving right now makes me short of breath and start to cry! 🙁 so i don’t think about it. o, tear, why is change such a bittersweet thing?

{friends, don’t hate me for putting this one on here…please talk to me again… at least before we leave… 😉 hee hee}

then it was the guys turn. we’re so proud of you guys for  finishing 3 long years of school!! good work boys!

bawhahah. this part  of you three peaking around the tree was so funny. you guys are goofs. so alike. so smart. yet so silly.

even the babies worked it. 🙂

then the next day i got out my camera again for this cute family::

this little chunker is freaking adorable. their family is so beautiful and i love them to pieces. we’re going to miss you too!

{Husbuddy met Matt the first day of classes here at Princeton and they’ve been buds ever since.}

the next day i got out my camera again… it was time for this one year old’s party!

he’s the last of those three little boys to turn 1, yet he’s the first to be walking around 🙂

it was the perfect evening for a party.

the weather was great and the decorations festive.

and baby’s beautiful momma was ready to celebrate:

the other important guests were ready to celebrate too:

as i mentioned in a previous post… we had a very hungry Caterpillar cake for the little man:

didn’t Jenna do an awesome job with the fondant?!

he mostly enjoyed it…

he just wasn’t too happy about  being dirty for too long:

ha! i love his face.

it was a beautiful but very busy weekend.

to say the least…

dear guests who are coming to stay with us next weekend for graduation,

i have yet to start the cleaning, so i appologize ahead of time for the state our apartment will be in…

sometimes living life is more important than cleaning… right?

a sculpture adventure in Philly

a friend and i went to visit The Estes yesterday.

Owen is STILL at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. They have been there since the middle of February. Needless to say, they are frustrated and impatient to get home with a healthy little guy! It is a blessing to live so close to an awesome Children’s Hospital, and we are so thankful that there is such an amazing staff to care for him. But it’s hard for them and most likely lonely to be away from home for so long, so we went down for a visit.

You may think it’s some noble act to take time to go visit them, but really it was a very selfish visit on my part because I crave that time with my sweet friend! 😉 I miss her!

Instead of sitting in the hospital, and to create some laughter, the three girls went for a camera walk.

you don’t know what a “camera walk” is? Well, let us show you.

we were on a sideways mission towards getting lunch… but stopped at all the sculptures to take pictures. they had to be silly pictures, mind you.

and we had to be on or in the artwork.

since there were three of us, most of the time we could only take a picture of  just two of us being silly. {note: the one above in the “button” was supposed to be our best ground-hog pose.}

if we could talk someone into helping us, we got one with all three of us.

j’adore this one of the three of us!  the girl who took the picture was totally annoyed with us for asking her, but seriously, she could have said no… 😉 still, we appreciate the beautiful picture she took!!

we LOVEd this sculpture, if you couldn’t guess.

there were also couple of Ben Franklin’s sitting around.

We decided this Ben needed a couple girls in his lap:

this is getting embarrassing… {at this point, Joel had joined us… so we weren’t doing this for a stranger- i promise!}

Husbuddy was confused about what we were doing in the one above- apparently our “kissy” faces don’t really look like we think they do.

It was a fun, silly time  that hopefully provided our friends with a sweet little hour outside in the sunshine laughing.

we love you three!! get better sweet little Owen and come home soon!
