to my husbuddy of 4 years.

i’m thankful for you

i want to give God the glory first. i’m so thankful to HIM for bringing you into my life. He has blessed me with a best friend, who is a person i can share life with, who is a constant reminder of and pointer to Christ in all things.

i’m so thankful that you chased and pursued me when i thought i didn’t want just another boyfriend to break my heart. i’m so thankful that you had a vision when we met of being my husband and one day raising children with me. i’m so thankful for your ability to love me through the times that are good and the times that are hard.

i respect you

i know that respect is the main thing your heart calls out for. (men are so weird! woman want to be  loved and you men want respect.) but i respect you with all that i am. i respect how you provide for our little family. i respect how hard you are working in seminary so that you can provide for our future. i respect that you are the head of our family as Christ is the head of the church. i respect you for that because it is such an enormous calling. i respect you for all the little things you do that make me feel loved.

 i respect you.

i love you

i love you and every little part of you that i’m still getting to know. 4 years seems like forever somedays, and some days love is a choice, not exactly a feeling. i choose to love you even when i’m annoyed at something you never meant to do. i choose to love you even when we’re so busy we hardly see each other. i choose to love you for the rest of our lives. i know that through this choice our love grows stronger and more confident.

i love you with everything i have.

happy anniversary love.

i can’t wait for all the adventures we’re going to have in our 5th year of marriage!
